Location
The neighborhood of Poble Sec was the first extension east of the city center, located on the base of the hills of Montjuïc. The main avenue of Poble Sec is Avinguda Paral·lel, which was once the center of Barcelona nightlife, and still contains many restaurants, bars, and clubs.
The area, rich in performance history, is currently laced with numerous theatres including La Ciutat del Teatre, the Teare Lliure and the Instituto del Teatro, where musicals and dance shows are performed daily.
If you prefer, take a stroll and relax with the sounds of jazz at the famous Cervesena Jazz, or dance the night away at Sala Apolo.
The area, which offers a slightly more quiet ambience than the bustling city center, provides easy access to the attractions of Barcelona and its surrounding areas.
