This comfortable five-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in Barcelona is located in the idyllic Eixample district. Guests can enjoy the area, as some of Gaudí’s most impressive architectural works, fantastic bars and restaurants, and several of the city’s top attractions —such as Passeig de Gràcia— are close by. In addition, access to the rest of the city is quick and easy!

The living room and kitchen feature an open-plan design, allowing you to enjoy the comfort of a sofa and satellite TV for relaxation. There is also an internet connection. In addition, the apartment has SMOKE DETECTORS AND SOUND METERS, meaning that smoking inside the apartment is not allowed, and noise must not exceed permitted levels after 22:00 in order to respect the neighbors´ rest. If any of these rules are broken, AB Apartment Barcelona will withhold the security deposit (if applicable).

BEFORE BOOKING: We recommend visiting the apartment so that you can appreciate it in person. Although the dimensions are clearly indicated in the ad, the photos were taken with a wide-angle lens to better showcase the space, which may make it appear larger. Additionally, please note that the apartment has been enjoyed by several guests, so it may show some signs of normal wear and tear over time.

Eixample is Catalan for ´extension´, meaning an extension of the old Barcelona city, and it is one of the most popular districts in the Catalan capital. Eixample was designed by Catalan-born architect, Ildefons Cerdà, who took traffic and sunlight (amongst many other things) into consideration when drawing up the plans of the new area.

Eixample is now characterised by its octagonal blocks and its grid-like pattern, with wide streets and both commercial and residential areas. It is split into two parts, Eixample Esquerra (Left, or in Spanish, Izquierdo) and Eixample Dret (Right, or in Spanish, Derecho), and is home to one of the most famous streets in Barcelona, Passeig de Gràcia, known for its high fashion stores and trendy restaurants.

The street is intersected by the long Avinguda Diagonal, which runs through the entire city.

Eixample Derecho is home to many gems of ´Modernisme´ architecture, including the unique Casa Milà (La Pedrera), the colourful Casa Batlló and the towering Sagrada Familia, known as Gaudí´s unfinished masterpiece. You will also find plenty of great bars and cafés here, too, and if you decide to choose one of the many Barcelona apartments in Eixample Derecho for your stay, you will be able to easily explore the city, due to the neighbourhood´s convenient, central location and excellent public transportation services.
