Description

This wonderful and bright apartment is located in one of the best neighbourhoods of Barcelona, Eixample, it finds itself situated only at ten minute walk from La Pedrera and fifteen minutes from La Sagrada Familia. Boasting two metro stations under a five minute walk, which connects you as easily to the centre of Barcelona as its’ amazing beaches. Without a doubt, it is a perfect location to visit the whole city at your leisure. This welcoming apartment is of modern and fashionable design and offers a spacious balcony where you can see sunset whilst eating and enjoying a glass of wine, as well as having air conditioning and WiFi.

There are two bathrooms in this property. In addition, the living room is open-plan and has a television, ideal to relax in after a day of travelling around Barcelona. The kitchen is fully equipped.

The area of Eixample is an excellent choice to stay in Barcelona because it is one of the safest residential areas and where you can find most of the architectural works in style art noveau, as well as having a great number of shops, restaurants and art galleries.

TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT BEFORE BOOKING: The apartment has SMOKE DETECTORS AND SOUNDMETERS, so it is not permitted to smoke in the apartment or exceed noise levels after 10pm to respect the rest of the neighbours. If any of these rules are breached, AB Apartment Barcelona will retain the amount of the deposit (if any).

BEFORE BOOKING: We recommend visiting the apartment so that you can appreciate it in person. Although the dimensions are clearly indicated in the ad, the photos were taken with a wide-angle lens to better showcase the space, which may make it appear larger. Additionally, please note that the apartment has been enjoyed by several guests, so it may show some signs of normal wear and tear over time.

District

Eixample is Catalan for ´extension´, meaning an extension of the old Barcelona city, and it is one of the most popular districts in the Catalan capital. Eixample was designed by Catalan-born architect, Ildefons Cerdà, who took traffic and sunlight (amongst many other things) into consideration when drawing up the plans of the new area.

Eixample is now characterised by its octagonal blocks and its grid-like pattern, with wide streets and both commercial and residential areas. It is split into two parts, Eixample Esquerra (Left, or in Spanish, Izquierdo) and Eixample Dret (Right, or in Spanish, Derecho), and is home to one of the most famous streets in Barcelona, Passeig de Gràcia, known for its high fashion stores and trendy restaurants.

The street is intersected by the long Avinguda Diagonal, which runs through the entire city.

Eixample Derecho is home to many gems of ´Modernisme´ architecture, including the unique Casa Milà (La Pedrera), the colourful Casa Batlló and the towering Sagrada Familia, known as Gaudí´s unfinished masterpiece. You will also find plenty of great bars and cafés here, too, and if you decide to choose one of the many Barcelona apartments in Eixample Derecho for your stay, you will be able to easily explore the city, due to the neighbourhood´s convenient, central location and excellent public transportation services.
