Description

This three-bedroom apartment is located in the Eixample district, with space for 5 guests. With WiFi and a private terrace equipped with seating and a table, it offers everything you need for a wonderful holiday in Barcelona.

The living-dining room with views of the Sagrada Familia has an elegant and modern design. There is a sofa and a television, as well as a dining table and chairs for you to use while relaxing after a long day of exploring the city.

For cooking in the apartment, there is a fully equipped kitchen area for you and your guests to use. Here you will find a toaster, juicer and coffee machine, as well as an oven, ceramic hob, and microwave to prepare dinner with your guests.

The three bedrooms are spacious and bright, thanks to the large windows with views of the Sagrada Familia. All are equipped with clean bed linen and towels, and offer plenty of storage space. From one of the bedrooms, you will have direct access to the private terrace where you can enjoy the sunset and admire the views. In addition, there is one bathroom in the apartment.

Being located in the Eixample offers a fantastic location for your stay in Barcelona, close to all the best attractions. For sightseeing, you are just a 2-minute walk from the former bullring of La Monumental and only 8 minutes on foot from the Sagrada Familia. For shopping, you are just 11 minutes on foot from Glòries Shopping Centre and only 8 minutes by metro from the iconic Passeig de Gràcia. From here, you also have access to Plaça Catalunya and all the fantastic restaurants and bars in the area.

District

Eixample is Catalan for ´extension´, meaning an extension of the old Barcelona city, and it is one of the most popular districts in the Catalan capital. Eixample was designed by Catalan-born architect, Ildefons Cerdà, who took traffic and sunlight (amongst many other things) into consideration when drawing up the plans of the new area.

Eixample is now characterised by its octagonal blocks and its grid-like pattern, with wide streets and both commercial and residential areas. It is split into two parts, Eixample Esquerra (Left, or in Spanish, Izquierdo) and Eixample Dret (Right, or in Spanish, Derecho), and is home to one of the most famous streets in Barcelona, Passeig de Gràcia, known for its high fashion stores and trendy restaurants.

The street is intersected by the long Avinguda Diagonal, which runs through the entire city.

Eixample Derecho is home to many gems of ´Modernisme´ architecture, including the unique Casa Milà (La Pedrera), the colourful Casa Batlló and the towering Sagrada Familia, known as Gaudí´s unfinished masterpiece. You will also find plenty of great bars and cafés here, too, and if you decide to choose one of the many Barcelona apartments in Eixample Derecho for your stay, you will be able to easily explore the city, due to the neighbourhood´s convenient, central location and excellent public transportation services.
