Description

This wonderful and contemporary apartment has space for up to 5 people and is found in the artsy neighbourhood of Poblenou, which is known for its bars and restaurants. This apartment offers all that you could need to have a great stay in Barcelona, with things like WiFi, central heating and air conditioning, this will give you a very welcome place to relax after a day of exploring.

The open living space is where you will find the living diner and kitchen. There is a balcony, next to the living room and gives you natural light and fresh air. The living space is made up of a sofa, TV and dining table, giving you a great social space for mealtime. The sofa bed gives a cosy space for the evening as well.

Next to this space is the fully equipped kitchen. This continues the modern feel of the space, where black and white furnishings and décor gives this apartment a contemporary feel. The kitchen provides you with a oven, toaster and kettle, to ensure you can make breakfasts or some Spanish inspired dishes in equal measure.

There are two bedrooms. The first is a double bedroom and provides a very comfortable space for two of the guests. The second bedroom has a bunk bed, which is perfect for kids. Both bedrooms continue the modern design of the apartment, as is seen with the art on the wall and the sleek colours of the furniture. Both rooms also have plenty of storage space, for all of your belongings. The recently refurbished bathroom features a shower and follows the black and white design of the apartment, providing a clean and private space for you and your guests to use.

Being situated in Poblenou gives you a tranquil and safe area to stay in, as well as being walking distance from some great attractions. Most importantly, you are only a 14 minute walk from Bogatell beach, ideal for the spring and summer months. As for shopping, there is the Glories shopping centre only a 13 minute walk away. Lastly, there is the Parc de la Ciutadella some 22 minutes walking away, where you can also find the Arc de Triomf and zoo.

Poblenou is Catalan for ´New Village´, and is situated with the Mediterranean Sea on one side and the beautiful Parc de la Ciutadella on the other. Historically, the area was one of the main industrial zones of the city, however today, Poblenou is surrounded by many new developments, including the neighbourhoods of Vila Olímpica, where the athletes competing in the 1992 Olympics resided, and Diagonal Mar. The increase in new facilities alongside the town´s proximity to the Barcelona beaches and excellent public transportation services, has brought many artists and young professionals to the Poblenou.

Rambla de Poblenou is the main avenue in the neighbourhood and it is said to be a more authentic alternative to the Ramblas you will find in the city centre. It has a great ambience and is home to many fantastic bars, cafés and restaurants.

The great esplanade of El Fòrum is located right near Poblenou, though technically in the Diagonal Mar area. This area is the site of many concerts, congresses and festivals in Barcelona, creating a lively, cultural atmosphere. Choosing an apartment in Poblenou will leave you connected by metro, bus, and tram to all other parts of the city and within walking distance from some of the best beaches in the city.
